In the sixties.......time not age, Sunset magazine offered us a can bread. For a while everyone was making can bread, and I still remember that it tasted better than store bought by a mile.

Awwk! I am definitely a dim bulb tonight. Folks, LaLaine is the lovely lady who owns the CookMobile and who invented the delicious sandwich that I messed up. (But I'll get it right yet!)

Of course, Lalaine! I always refer to the bread machine because that's what I use. If you do it by hand, then you'd put the ingredients together the classic way -- proofing the yeast in a little water, adding it along with other liquids to the dry ingredients and then kneading. The only difference is I make the machine do all the work. (smile) Good luck. Hope you like the bread.
